Hi there! My name is Elizabeth, to which this blog is happily named after 🙂 I’m twenty-something and live in Somewhere, USA. Yes I’m being discreet 😉 I can’t give away all my secrets. I will tell you this,
this blog is my outlet. A break away from the mundane world of work and house chores and worries about the future. You wont find rants or rambles here about my bad days, even about my good days. Not that I don’t want to share them with you. Just that I would rather share something else with you, something quite special to me.
Oh books are glorious! Adventures in your hand, trips around the world in ink and pages. They’re movies in your mind and can even be life lessons! Books can you make laugh so hard that soda comes out of your nose. Characters can make you blush so deep you feel giddy inside. They can make you cry so hard you just want to hug your Teddy bear. And when you’ve finished your book, you miss the characters as though they were really a part of your life. You miss them like you miss an old friend.
I’ve been in love with books since I was taught those life changing A B C’s. Because of books, I’ve been to places of the world I’ve never seen before. With Elizabeth Bennet I got to see a 19th century Hertfordshire and fall in love with the ever proud but strikingly good-looking Mr. Darcy.
With Harry I flew on a broomstick through London and dueled with wizards! I saw dragons and ate disgusting jelly beans.
With Frodo and Bilbo we saved Middle Earth, twice! We even dinned with the Elves and flew on giant Eagles.
Books have a funny way of taking us to places we might not normally travel to. So, if you like books and you like adventures, I suggest you take a look around. You just might find something here among my adventures that peaks your interest.
“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
That’s a little bit about who I am, someone who truly adores books for what they are. Adventures. Treasures. Memories and much more. I hope you enjoy your visit here!
