Collecting every (terrible) Grumpy Cat comic book story ever — in one giant (overhyped) comics collection!
The World’s Grumpiest Cat — and the world’s most adorable internet sensation — continues to delight fans of all ages. With her ever-present pout and sassy disposition, Grumpy Cat has won the hearts of people everywhere. Now, her unbearable cuteness and infectious sourpuss are featured in a collection of comic stories. If you love the memes, the videos, and that irresistible scowl, then get ready for the wildly fun antics of Grumpy Cat. Her comic book escapades are guaranteed to make you smile… even if she’s scowling!
If you’re unfamiliar with who Grumpy Cat is, you must live in a box. This was great collection of comics staring the internet sensation that is Grumpy Cat. It was filled with so many different stories. Each comic had a different one to tell than the previous so there was no over all plot line here to follow. It made for a very quick read.
What took the longest was how many times I went back and just admired the art in each strip! These comics were illustrated by various artists. Something that was easily noticeable as you read through it. Every single one of them was impressively detailed. There was only one comic, there toward the end, where the illustration was not what I would call visually striking.
There were only a few things throughout this that were consistent. Grumpy cat’s family and her energetic friend (they’re totally besties) Pokey! Pokey was the exact opposite of Grumpy. He’s fun, happy, eager to play and explore. However he was never quite as astute as Grumpy. Meaning that more times than not he fell into her tricks and traps. Together they went on many different adventures!
What I loved about this book was how fun it was! In a way it was refreshing to read something purely for entertainment. These two cats were incredibly cute and made me laugh at the thought of how animals may look at what us humans do day to day.
They also had me up late into the night, hooked on their silly adventures.
Even if you aren’t a fan of comics, I would still recommend reading this. Its definitely worth a try! Or at least a couple of the comics. Especially if you’re a fan of Grumpy Cat! Children would certainly be entertained by this thanks to the wonderful work of all the artists.
